Privacy policy

Icon Infotech Ltd. (IIL) (“ICON”, “we”), trading as iFi for home internet, is the data controller for information collected through this website, our enquiry forms, our hotline and the services we provide. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and the choices you have.

We collect only what is needed to provide and support the service:

• Identity and contact: name, mobile number, email, installation address and, as required by BTRC for subscriber registration, your National ID details.
• Service and billing: package, connection date, invoices, payment references and support history.
• Technical: the IP address assigned to your connection, equipment identifiers and session logs that our licence requires us to retain.
• Website: server logs with IP address, browser type and pages visited, and any details you enter in an enquiry form.

• to check coverage, install and run your connection;
• to bill you and to answer support requests;
• to meet our legal and licence obligations to the BTRC and law-enforcement agencies, including lawful interception requests;
• to protect our network against abuse and attacks;
• with your consent, to tell you about offers and new services. You can opt out of marketing at any time by replying STOP or emailing us.

We do not sell customer data. We share it only with: field and installation contractors working under our instructions; payment providers (bKash, Nagad, card acquirers) to process your payments; partner platforms that deliver bundled services such as OTT or telemedicine, limited to what they need to activate your access; and regulators or courts where the law requires.

This website embeds a map from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address when the Contact page loads. If analytics or chat tools are added to the site we will list them here.

Account and billing records are kept for the life of your subscription and for the period required by tax and telecom regulation afterwards. Connection logs are retained for the duration our BTRC licence requires and then deleted. Enquiry-form submissions from people who do not become customers are deleted within 12 months.

Customer data is stored on systems in Bangladesh with access limited to staff who need it for their role. This website is served over HTTPS with modern security headers, and enquiry forms are protected against automated abuse. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you and the regulator as required.

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete information we are not required to keep. You can opt out of marketing at any time. Write to support@icon-infotech.net and we will respond within 30 days.

This website currently uses only the technical storage needed for it to function (for example remembering a package you selected before applying). It sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this section and ask for your consent where required.

We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing customers will also be notified by SMS or email.
